ONGOING CLASSES


Beginning Yoga
A perfect class for the new student, or for the experienced student who wishes to take time to re-investigate their own practice. This class will focus on the fundamental yoga postures, breathing techniques, and alignment.

Mixed Level Yoga
A class perfect for all levels because it will offer a variety of postures to help beginning students evolve in their practice and seasoned students continue to grow.

Therapeutic Yoga
Every week we will approach a different topic in yoga depending on the needs of the group.  Past and future classes have focused on hip opening, shoulder therapeutics and headstands.

Intermediate/Advanced Yoga
A fun and challenging class designed for intermediate and advanced yoga students with a minimum of 2 years experience. A wide range of standing postures, back bends, Sun Salutation variations, deep twists will be taught.  Inversions such as headstands and handstands are required to be held for 3 to 5 minutes.

Energize Yoga
Trade in your morning coffee for a yoga-latte.  This class will focus on variations of saluting the sun and the natural "caffeine" effect of back bending.

Yoga For Athletes
Looking for a new way to get a resistance workout? Yoga is perfect for athletes of all sports, even weekend warriors. This class will increase strength, flexibility, agility, balance, and mental focus, that will help you succeed on and off the field.

Restorative Yoga
A perfect compliment to the energetic Yoga For Athletes, Restorative Yoga will help release and deepen the connective tissues in your joints by using props to support the body.  Postures will be held for 10 to 15 minutes.  The Tuesday session of this class wil include a gentle stretch sequences.

Senior Stretch
A gentle, yet energizing program of yoga exercises and breathing designed for seniors who want to work on increasing strength, flexibility, and balance.    Cost: $5

Happy Hour Yoga
Start the weekend off right with this donation-based class.  Relax after a hard week’s work, and energize yourself for the fun weekend ahead.  Suggested Donation:  $5

Yoga Kids
A fun and enjoyable morning for our littlest yogis, Yoga Kids will combine simple yoga movements with storytelling, creative art, and music. Help your child develop focus and attention, strong and healthy bodies, and maybe even sleep better! This class is for children ages 4 to 8.  Cost: $8 per session

Pre-Natal Yoga
Experience a holistic approach to pregnancy and birth.  Using postures, breath-work, and relaxation we will celebrate your pregnancy, preparing for labor and recovering postpartum while builiding a community of fellow mothers-to-be.


Core Awareness
This class will create a mind/body connection with our core using floor work and props to develop a stronger yoga practice.  This class can accommodate a maximum of 8 students.


Hula Hoop Fitness
A fun way to whittle away your waist!  Enjoy the outdoors with this innovative fitness class.  This class will be held in Dormont Park. Classes are held on Saturdays, July 3 to September 1.

Basic Belly Dance with Amethyst
Amethyst will teach you to dance and work out your entire body, using the ancient and modern movements of bellydance.  Build strength and balance, while learning to dance with grace and style.  All levels are welcome.  Amethyst is a graduate of the Ansuya Comprehensive, and will share all of her knowledge with you.

Baby-Time Yoga
For our newest yogis, ages birth to 24 months, with a parent, grandparent, or caregiver.  Enjoy a gentle yoga, nursery rhymes and book sharing with your baby!

Family Fun Yoga
Enjoy yoga as a family!  This class is designed for kids ages 2 years and older with a grown-up.

Partner Yoga
Learn to work and balance with your partner (spouse, friend or mom) in this fun and light-hearted class.
