Beginning YogaA
perfect class for the new student, or for the experienced
student who wishes to take time to re-investigate their own practice.
This class will focus on the fundamental yoga postures, breathing
techniques, and alignment.

A class perfect for all levels because it will offer a variety of postures to help beginning students evolve in their practice and seasoned students continue to grow.
Therapeutic Yoga
Every week we will approach a different topic in yoga depending on the needs of the group. Past and future classes have focused on hip opening, shoulder therapeutics and headstands.

Intermediate/Advanced
Yoga
A fun and challenging class designed for intermediate and advanced yoga students with a minimum of 2 years experience. A wide range of standing postures, back bends, Sun Salutation variations, deep twists will be taught. Inversions such as headstands and handstands are required to be held for 3 to 5 minutes.

Trade in your morning coffee for a yoga-latte. This class will focus on variations of saluting the sun and the natural "caffeine" effect of back bending.

Yoga
Kids (starting again in January 2012)
A fun and enjoyable morning for our littlest yogis, Yoga Kids will
combine simple yoga movements with storytelling, creative art,
and music. Help your child develop focus and attention, strong and
healthy bodies, and maybe even sleep better! This class is for children
ages 4 to 8. Cost: $8 per session

This class will create a mind/body connection with our core using floor work and props to develop a stronger yoga practice. This class can accommodate a maximum of 8 students.

Amethyst will teach you to dance and work out your entire body, using the ancient and modern movements of bellydance. Build strength and balance, while learning to dance with grace and style. All levels are welcome. Amethyst is a graduate of the Ansuya Comprehensive, and will share all of her knowledge with you. The last Tuesday and Saturday of each month will use Veils in the class. Some veils are available for class.

Mixed Level Belly Dance with Sara DeRoy
In this class Sara will teach you the foundations of belly dance while deepening knowledge for dancers with previous experience. Each class will include emphasis on isolations, strength building exercises, foot patterns and combinations with a focus on tribal fusion belly dance and Turkish stylization. Sara also draws on her experience in ballet, tango, and body alignment. She recently obtained Level 1 Certification from tribal fusion innovator Rachel Brice. All levels welcome. No experience necessary. Drop-ins welcome!
SPECIALITY CLASSES
Hula Hoop Fitness Workshops with Sterling
Learn the fundamentals to hula hooping while having a fun cardio class. A weekly hula hoop fitness class is to be announced! Workshops will be held at Dormont Park. Hoops will be provided for the workshops or hoops can be purchased at an additional charge.
