Modern life requires a lot of sitting, which keeps hips from the rotation, flexion, and extension they need to remain free.  And fun sports like running, biking, skiing and even normal walking increases hip strength but not flexibility. Without freedom in the pelvis and legs, there is more stress on knees and lower back. The back can get stiff and sore, and opening the hips can relieve a lot of discomfort.

Cora will unwind your hips, unlocking this hub of movement and get you gliding free! Loosen the body, focusing on hip rotators (buttocks area), hip flexors (front of thighs and pelvis) and hamstrings. Hip openers can be challenging and many hips feel stuck, so Cora’s Happy Hips sequences will unstick this area in a slow, mindful way for an incredibly satisfying physical and emotional release.

Ch'i is the Chinese word describing "natural energy of the Universe.” It permeates all things, including the body. It is the energetic “Life Force” which connects us to all things. Chi is everywhere in Nature, and surrounds us in and out. The energy of the belly holds a lot of this Life Force, and is essential for mental, physical and spiritual health. We each have unique characteristics, so understanding how to balance Chi is vital for our physical and emotional well being. 

Cora focuses on harmonising breath, movement and relaxation to access this energy. You will learn playful variations to invigorate your Sun Salutations and standing pose flow. Her standing pose variations stimulate creativity and curiosity that will infuse the rest of your practice, and how to approach backbends, forward folds, twists, inversions and balances! 

Discover a Yoga practice that enlivens, calms, and encourages you with vital energy. This concentration stimulates circulation, calms the system, and awakens vitality. Using breath, movement and relaxation, explore the benefits and exhilaration of connecting to your Sea of Chi!

Modern life is stressful and daily routines require a lot of outward focus and energy which tenses the body and mind. Yoga relaxes the body, and meditation calms the mind, creating a practice that can heal and restore your entire system. 

Hridaya is the “core” or “heart”, and Prajña is “wisdom.”  This session will focus on finding the rhythm of the heart’s wisdom to enrich the vital energy of life. Yoga awakens breath and fluidity in the body, and stimulates insight into the heart. As your heart becomes sensitive and open, you are exercising muscles to create clarity and joy, laying a solid foundation for happiness. 

Focusing on energy pathways, Cora links poses in flowing and fluid sequences to increase strength, flexibility and vigor. She unifies breath and movement to encourage your natural, playful intuition which helps you tap into your own inner guidance. This session uses shoulder openers and abdominal work to prepare for backward bending. Open to all levels, Cora will show some of her infamous 31 Flavours of Shoulder Openers ~ a must for Yoga Teachers and Trainees!

Moving from this center gives steady balance and support, and the freedom, ease and grace to trust our intuition.
